Zachery Thomas Duguid
April 30, 1999 – March 2, 2022
The family of Zachery Duguid are heartbroken to announce his sudden passing on March 2, 2022.
Zachery is survived by his parents, Glenn and Sherry (Christie) Duguid of Mississippi Mills; his siblings; Breanne (Josh), Kendra (Jeff) of Barrie, Joshua (Sam) of Barrie, Jordan (Sarah) of Fredericton; the love of his life Holly Estey and adored stepson Levi of Lincoln; his grandfather, Burman Christie of Bathurst; his nephews Tyler and Kayden; niece Avary; his aunt Brenda Christie (Dave) of Winchester; his uncle Danny Christie (Asha) of Halifax; his special cousins Jessica and Ashley Martin; and so many other special extended family. Zachery is predeceased by his grandmother Aldea (Gionet) Christie of Bathurst, and Don and Serena (Laverty) Duguid of Barrie.
Born on April 30, 1999, in Barrie, Ontario to loving parents Glenn and Sherry. Zachery spent his youth growing up in Barrie. He made many special friends, most notable Mack Chapman who shared many special memories as they grew up together. Zachery spent his youth playing for Thornton Minor hockey, and played guitar, as well as bass guitar. He graduated from St. Joan of Arc High School in June 2017. After taking time to decide a career choice Zachery joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in February 2020. After graduating from Basic Training, he was posted to Gagetown, New Brunswick, where he was being trained as a Water, Fuels and Environmental Technician.
While in Gagetown, Zachery met Holly Estey and they fell madly in love. They were inseparable, though their time together was not long enough. He adored his sweet little stepson Levi and was an amazing Dad to him. The three of them made wonderful memories over a short time and they loved Zach so deeply. He will forever be in their hearts.
He was a loving son and brother. He valued his family, and he cherished his many visits to New Brunswick over the years to visit relatives. Zachery touched so many in his short life, he will be missed deeply by so many.
“We will think about you always, we will talk about you often, you will never be forgotten, we will hold you close in our hearts, and there you will remain to walk with us through our lives.” Until we meet again God will cherish you – we absolutely love and adore you, Zachery. You will be forever in our thoughts and prayers.
