at the Mississippi Golf Club.

Passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on September 3, 2021 at the Ottawa Heart Institute.

Of Almonte, Ontario. In his 82nd year.
Beloved husband and best friend of Bonnie (nee Neill). Loved and respected by his two sons Scott and Lindsay (Melanie) and their mother Lorna. Predeceased by his eldest son David. Proud “Grampa Richard” to Holly Needham (John Proc), August Love-McCourt, Nicholas and Brayden Love, Ashlyn Love-McCourt and his three great grandchildren. Will be sorely missed and never forgotten by his brother Doug (Penny) and by his extended family in both the Love and Neill clans. Fondly remembered by Heather Needham and Doreen McCourt. For those wishing to do so, donations in memory of Richard may be made to the Ottawa Heart Institute or the Almonte General Hospital Fairview Manor Foundation. A special thank you to the staff at the Ottawa Heart Institute for their heroic efforts on his behalf, also to his ongoing care “Dream Team”, particularly Dr. Karen Turcotte, Dr. Lyall Higginson and Harriet Soudant. In accordance with Richard’s wishes, there will be a private graveside service. A Celebration of Richard’s Life will be held in the future.
