Passed away peacefully at Orchardview by the Mississippi, in Almonte on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at the age of 88. Ivan is predeceased by his beloved wife Margaret (nee Smith). Loving and devoted father of Penny Kearns (Wayne), Carol Lavender Devine (late Ted), Mark Lavender (Noreen Kemp), Kimberly Lavender (Stephen Jones), Paul Lavender (Gaitane Lauzon). Cherished grandfather of Shannon (Chris), Melinda (Mike), Carley (Chris), Jake (Caitie), Sullivan (Kimberley) and Owen and great-grandfather of Adam, Rebecca, Abby, Rebecca, Colin, Deklan, Cillian and Angus. Ivan will be fondly remembered by his extended family and friends. There will be a gathering to celebrate Ivan's life on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at the C.R. Gamble Funeral Home in Almonte, from 3:00-4:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Marmora Protestant Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Orchardview by the Mississippi Palliative Care or Activity Funds.
