It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Gerald Charles Marshall of Matawatchan, on December 27th at the Renfrew Victoria Hospital at the age of 93.
Beloved husband of Annabell McLaurin (deceased). Dear father of Doug (deceased), Jerry (Leslie), Patricia, Tom (Kathy), and Don (Pauline). Proud grandfather of Jackie, Allen, Shawn, Jessica, Tim, Sarah and Joe. Great grandfather of 8 grandchildren.
Gerry worked at National Defence in Ottawa as head carpenter. He previously resided in Blackburn Hamlet for many years and managed a boarding stable for horses. Upon retirement he relocated to his beloved Aird’s Lake where he turned his cottage into his retirement home. It was where he and Annabell spent many happy years enjoying country living and the beauty of nature.
At Gerry’s request a private service will be held in spring for family and close friends.
